IN-PERSON RELAUNCH PLANS

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely missing meeting with our church family in person! While we aren’t to the point we can meet for in-person Sunday worship quite yet, current data trends have resulted in more relaxed restrictions, enabling us to meet in person in smaller groups starting Sunday, June 21. At this time, we will not be coordinating formalized groups but we encourage you to do the following:

  • Reach out to another family or individuals to watch the Ezra Living Room Experience together, pray, and engage in dialogue around the discussion questions. So, seriously, this week, grab a neighbor, text/call a friend and make a plan to get together.
  • As you watch, use the connection card to let us know who you’re with and what you talked about as a group!
  • To gather in a healthy and hospitable way, we encourage you to follow the guidelines in Healthy Ways To Gather below.
  • We’re also working on additional phases of the Ezra Relaunch Plan as outlined below.

If we can help you get connected to others from Ezra to meet, please let us know on this connection card. Someone will reach out to you and help get you connected.

If you would be willing to open your home to people looking to connect with others from Ezra please also let us know that, as well.

Pastor Jeff

PLAN PHASES

CURRENT PHASE: LIMITED HOUSEHOLD GATHERINGS

HOUSEHOLD GROUPS + ONLINE

  1. Who do you know that you could join together as a household or two for prayer, connection, and worship? Household Groups (6-8 people, including children) meet in person on Sundays or mid-week to pray, connect, enjoy the Ezra Living Room Experience, and discuss.
  2. To gather in a healthy & hospitable way, please follow the guidelines in Healthy Ways To Gather below. It is preferable to meet outside when the weather and wifi permit.
  3. For those who don’t feel comfortable gathering, we understand and encourage you to consider joining with other households virtually (ex: zoom, google hangouts, facetime).
  4. BLESS & serve friends and neighbors as needs arrive. Be the church where you are.

  3. For those who don’t feel comfortable gathering, we understand and encourage you to consider joining the group via Zoom.

REGATHERING PHASE

  2. Kids & families worship together with physical distancing (no Ezra Kids at this time) & face masks. We will adapt our service for families to participate together.
  3. Bring your own coffee / water.
**We will follow cleaning and distancing precautions as recommended by the CDC and local guidelines.
  4. BLESS & serve friends and neighbors as needs arrive. Be the church where you are.

FUTURE PHASES

We will determine additional phases & changes (like adding services and re-opening Ezra Kids) as circumstances change. We will continue to ask “What does love require? Based on who we are, who we serve, and where we’re going, what is the wise thing to do?”

HEALTHY WAYS TO GATHER

Our love for Jesus compels us to do what is best for our community and neighbors.

We are making these recommendations not to only minimize our own risk, but to protect others from risk. We are acting from a posture of love, not fear.

If you are sick or vulnerable in any way (see CDC Guidelines), we encourage you to consider joining a virtual group. In addition, for those who don’t feel comfortable gathering, we completely understand and encourage you to consider joining virtually, as well. For those that do gather, here is a list of recommendations to do so in a healthy and hospitable way:

  1. No one present (including children) is sick or has any reason to think they have been exposed to COVID-19. If anyone is sick or has reason to think they have been exposed within the past 14 days, they should stay home and not attend. Note: If you find out this information after getting together, please inform the host.
  2. Disinfect shared and high touch areas like doors knobs, restroom fixtures, etc. Consider using paper towels rather than shared towels for restrooms.
  3. Everyone washes their hands thoroughly (more than 20 seconds) or uses hand sanitizer upon arrival and upon returning to their home.
  4. No food is served or people bring food individually, rather than in a shared “potluck style” format.
  5. As much distance as possible is maintained between members of your gathering. (This means spreading out the seating arrangements, at a larger distance than will probably feel natural to most people). Refrain from hugs or hand shakes.
  6. Everyone present should wear face masks, especially if meeting indoors. This is an act of love for others to prevent the unintentional spread of COVID-19.
